Collection and care of baby seagulls

Hi my name is Tonya and I run a pigeon rescue. I used to be involved in seagull collections.

A sanctuary in Dartmouth have agreed to take baby seagulls for the second year. People who find baby seagulls will need to do their best to get them to the sanctuary as volunteers have other commitments and can’t take each baby individually. Please if you take a baby to them try and make a donation however small to help pay for their care as the sanctuary is a charity.

However there will be occasions where people can’t transport them and we may need to temporarily keep them and there are a few volunteers willing to do this. Although I am not directly involved I have managed to find a few people who are willing to collect birds but I want to try and make sure that the lovely people that hold and transport them are not out of pocket so want to try and make sure that they get the money back for food and fuel.

I have therefore set up this go fund me page to try to help pay for these babies being looked after and taken to the sanctuary. If we don’t get sufficient funds then people will be left to find their own transport and possibly care for the bird until someone can take it for them.

Please help us to keep these babies safe.
