Collection for Maurice Martinez
Donation protected
On behalf of the IBEW, Nelson Electric, and the loving crew that makes up the GSR we are starting a collection for Maurice Martinez (Moe). Moe is a loving father, a valued friend, and an exceptional leader and role model in the electrical industry.
On April 17th, Easter night just before midnight, Sparks police and Nevada state police were sent to the corner of Mccarran and Greenbrae in response to a hit and run of a pedestrian. The person struck down was our long-time friend Maurice Martinez. Moe is a foreman electrician with Nelson Electric and at this time is fighting for his life in a coma at Renown medical center. At this time there is no information in regards to the person responsible for hitting our dear friend.
Many of you may not know Moe, but I can assure you if and when you meet him, he is one of the finest quality humans we have had the pleasure of meeting. Humble at his core and not a mean bone in his body. This event is so tragic to see happen to such a fine man.

We have all come together to start a fund for Maurice, to help alleviate some of the financial burden this has caused on the Martinez family. As finacial stress is the last thing his family needs to worry about in this time of greif and prayer. We all greatly appriciate your support and prayers during this tragic time.
"Upon my first meeting with Maurice, I learned what kind of coworker he was very quickly. He is dedicated, selfless, and a great father, husband, and mentor for young electricans. Lets all pray god is not ready for Maurice, because we love him and still need him down here with us."
God Bless Maurice and his family,
