Collection of 1979-1980 NFL Play-by-Play

Hey folks, Aaron Schatz here along with my NFL play-by-play historical partner Jeremy Snyder aka "Quirky Research."

We're trying to finish our collection of NFL play-by-play so that we can produce DVOA ratings for the 1979 and 1980 seasons, but we've run out of options looking for the last few games. Except one: NFL Films. NFL Films has archived television footage of almost every network broadcast. However, they are charging a lot of money for providing us with files of this footage, roughly $250 per half of football.

Right now we need one full game and roughly 10 halves of football, including the one quarter of a Bills-Jets game that we need to fully complete 1981. It's not much. We would love to get it.

FTN Network has pledged to invest $500 to start us off. That gets us the one complete game we still need, which is Week 9 Bengals-Chargers from 1980. We're hoping we can raise enough money from $10 and $20 donations from DVOA fans and get all the files we need to finish out these years. You know you want actual DVOA for that 1979 Steel Curtain dynasty team!

We'll share our final files for 1979-1980 with everyone who gives at least a $25 donation.
