College Charity Challenge for LA Food Bank
Tax deductible
My name is Chase Griffin and I am a football quarterback at UCLA. Throughout the month of May, GoFundMe is hosting a College Charity Challenge to show the power of giving on college campuses nationwide. I hope you'll join me in this challenge by donating to The Los Angeles Food Bank Weekend Backpack Program. The Los Angeles Food Bank is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that distributes food and other essentials to seniors, youth, and those in need.
The Los Angeles Regional Food Bank Weekend Backpack Program supplies weekend meals to LA school school children who rely on school meals for food. School children are at greatest risk of food insecurity on the weekends and during the Summer. The fact that thousands of LA schoolchildren are worried about their next meal while trying to learn is heart-breaking. This program allows us to address that problem directly. #WeFeedLA
