Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji’un إِنَّا لِلَّٰهِ وَإِنَّا إِلَيْهِ رَاجِعُونَ
"Verily we belong to Allah (GOD), and truly to Him shall we return."
My name is Hana Bekele, and I am the sister of Rosiey Solomon. As most of you may have already heard, Rosiey recently passed away due to Covid-19 and a bacterial infection that affected her lungs. Rosieys prognosis was grim when she was admitted to the hospital at six months pregnant. She contracted the novel coronavirus. She had a hard time breathing and had to be intubated. Rosieys condition took a turn for the worse, and her organs started failing, but doctors had a risky idea to save her life hopefully. With permission from her husband and family, the doctors performed an emergency C-section on Rosiey and the baby to save the baby. Sadly, Rosiey did not make it. But Rosiey gave us baby Abyan, who is still in the NICU. Those of you who knew Rosiey know that She loved her family, community, and babies more than anything.
Rosiey was an amazing daughter, sister, wife, and mother. She strived to show her girls the importance of higher education. The purpose of this fundraising is to support her little girls with their future endeavors. Although they may have a challenging road ahead of them, giving them some financial support for College will lessen their struggles.
The funds will be transferred equally among three accounts in each of their names. Ladan, Amina, and Abyan are the sweetest little girls filled with love. They are inquisitive, curious, funny, and have the most prominent personalities. As a community, let us become one and help brighten these little girls' futures. It takes a village to raise a child, so please support, share, and pray.
Thank you so much,
The love everyone has shown for our family during this troubling times is immense. May God bless you all.
Best,
Hana
