College Scholarship and higher education for Avery

My Name is Kyle Bossio and I am fundraising money to pay for the education of Avery. Daughter of Erica Vilaca who was an absolute amazing mother, daughter, outstanding NYS EMT and the best friend anyone can ever ask for. Sadly, she has passed away on the morning of December 5, 2021 after a terrible Motor Vehicle Accident in upstate New York. She has done nothing but put her daughter and her loved ones first. She went above and beyond to make sure everyone else around her was happy and was always the life of the party. 

 

I know Erica for years and has helped me immensely a few years ago; when I was at my bottom and helped me make the decision to enlist in the Navy and save my life. She is a major contributor to having people try to make their lives better. She is the “Go-To” person to find the light at the end of the tunnel. She saw the positive in every negative interaction with life. Having a bad day? Erica would FaceTime you and talk until you laughed. Alone on a weekend, she would invite you over and make it a memorable experience. She gave advice when asked, and supported you in every decision even if she disagrees. 

 

She put her beautiful daughter Avery first, and would want nothing but the best for her. Made sure there were clothes on her back, food on the table and a smile so bright it would melt everyone’s hearts, regardless of how terrible her day was.

 

She had phenomenal patient care when she was a member of the Island Park Fire Dept, and transferred her skill over to Seniorcare and mobilmedic. 

 

I want nothing more than to see Avery get the best education that I know Erica and her family would work so hard for. Erica, as a single mother; let us lessen this burden her family will have to face, as she lessened the burden of so many families across the state. Let us make it our mission to show Avery, when she grows up, exactly the impact that her mother Erica, had on the lives of the people around her, and her community. 

Erica's sister-in-law Courtney Karolinko will be taking charge of the donations as a request of Erica's mother Denise and current guardian of Avery. Together, they are in the process of setting up a trust for the education of Avery.
