Hello, my name is Michael, and I’m humbly reaching out for your help for Ara and her mother Flor in the Philippines.

Ara is a 21-year-old Civil Engineering student who has always dreamed of becoming an engineer. She recently celebrated her Hatting Ceremony, marking her progress toward graduation she only has one year left to complete her Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering.

But during a recent medical exam required by her college, doctors discovered a heart defect. Ara’s doctor detected an abnormal murmur and confirmed she needs heart surgery to repair the damage. Until surgery can be scheduled, she’s taking daily medication to stabilize her heart.

Her mother, Flor, is a single mom who has raised Ara on her own for 21 years. Despite the challenges, Flor went back to college herself to study Information Technology, inspired by her daughter’s determination. Together, they’ve faced life’s obstacles with courage and faith but this time, they can’t face it alone.

Between tuition fees, medical tests, medications, and daily living expenses, Flor is overwhelmed. She’s even considering pausing her education just to help her daughter afford surgery.
