Collen Charity Cycle 2023: “Building Bridges”
The Directors of Collen, and the Charity Cycle Committee are delighted to announce the 8th Annual Charity Cycle. The Collen Charity Cycle 2023 ‘Building Bridges’ event will take place between Friday 1st - Sunday 3rd September.

The Collen Charity Cycle 2023: ‘Building Bridges’ event is symbolic of joining together, no matter the challenge, as we call for community action to build a more healthy and resilient society. Bridges are more than just a structure to travel from one point to another. A bridge symbolises transition and change, for a crossing that supports growth and development; a passageway for connection and unity between communities. By ‘Building Bridges’ together, we develop new ideas to improve our way of living, fostering an understanding and appreciation of cultural differences, and promoting leadership that drives our global community towards a better future.

Whether bridging physical distance, or overcoming obstacles, anything is possible when we commit to ‘Building Bridges’ together.

Collen Charity Cycle 2023: ‘Building Bridges’
Collen Annual Charity Cycle event reflects the values at the heart of a culture that supports people in making healthy choices. It is a collective effort to preserve a holistic approach towards personal growth and increased wellbeing, by creating a robust environment where wellbeing is expressed, supported, and celebrated. The spirit of camaraderie, the fun challenge, and the fundraising efforts of everyone involved make this annual event stand out and make a difference in our communities.

The Collective Goal:
Collen Charity Cycle 2023: ‘Building Bridges’, will bring Collen teams in Ireland, the UK, Denmark and Sweden together as a cycle across bridges to promote and fundraise for several charities across the regions in which Collen operates. This year the aim is to encourage as many people as possible to join the Collen Charity Cycle team in spreading the message of connection and unity as a bridge of support within our communities. Participants are invited to cross or pass by a bridge as part of their cycle route, to show support for this year’s theme ‘Building Bridges’ and help raise awareness of the services provided by our 22 charity partners in our local communities. Over the course of one weekend, Collen employees, friends, family, clients, subcontractors, and extended supply chain will participate in the event with no limitations and enjoy the experience at their leisure, choosing their route and cycling at their own pace. Whether participants cycle 10km or 300km, everyone’s distance matters so this event will appeal to all fitness levels, from beginner to advanced cyclists.

Registered participants can choose a different location each day to cycle over the course of the weekend from Friday 1st September – Sunday 3rd September. Each cycle trip can be completed alone, or with a group.

Building Bridges: Whether it is a long-distance cycle along the coast, a leisure cycle through the local park with family, a mountain bike climb, or a city spin with friends, or a blend of all the above, all that is required to support this year’s Collen Charity Cycle is to cross or pass a bridge on your chosen route. On completion of the cycle event, participants are requested to email a photo of the bridge, a title and its location to [email redacted] before close of business, Tuesday 5th September.

Fundraising:
Over the last 8 years, Collen Annual Charity Cycle has been a great success in raising funds in support of the local communities across which Collen operates. We are immensely proud of the funds raised for charities in our local communities and the ability to use the event to shine a light on those charities and their services. Much of the fantastic work of these charities would not be possible without the support of everyone involved. All our charity representatives have expressed their deepest gratitude to everyone involved.
