Support for the Martins family

On Tuesday, September 17th, our beloved, adventurous, free-spirited Coco passed away in a heartbreaking accident.
Gabrielle, Sol and Louis have lost an adoring husband and father. And his family and friends are devastated by Coco being taken too soon.
This tragic event occurred just days before the family was planning to begin a long-anticipated and life-changing sailing trip on their newly purchased Catamaran ‘Firmament’ to Indonesia and beyond.
The sudden loss of Coco has left Gabrielle and her two young boys (4 & 2) facing a difficult and uncertain time. To help support them through this extremely difficult period, friends of the family are setting up this fundraiser to assist the family the best way we can.
In preparation for their journey, Gabrielle and Collin had taken the significant step of selling nearly all of their possessions, including their car. Their sailing boat now contains everything they own, as well as being their current home. As Gabrielle cannot sail the boat on her own, she will be forced to sell, which adds to the complexity and uncertainty of their current circumstances. And we are now learning of some huge expenses that will be incurred during this process.
We are hoping to provide financial assistance to Gabrielle, Sol, and Louis during this challenging time. Our goal is to alleviate some of the immediate financial pressures they will face, such as working out housing, and the fees involved in moving and selling the boat. We hope this will allow them the space to grieve and adjust without added stress.
By contributing to this fund, you can help ensure that Gabrielle and her boys have the resources they need to take time for themselves, process their loss, and eventually make plans for their future. Your support, in any amount, can make a significant difference in easing their burden during this difficult period.
We appreciate any help you can offer to support Gabrielle and her family as they navigate this unexpected and heartbreaking situation. Thank you for your generosity., love and support in what is a painful time for all who knew and loved the vibrant loving man that Coco was.
If you have any questions or would like to reach out, we would ask you to please contact us first via this page, as we are trying to give Gabrielle the space she needs right now to be with family and look after her and Coco’s beautiful boys.
*There will be a paddle out held at Red Bluff on the 29th of Sept at sunset. As the location is remote, we invite you to paddle out wherever you are in the world and share a moment as we honour Coco's beautiful life.
