Collin Sallee

Collin is a 19 year old apprentice who just got accepted into the Ironworkers Union Local 103.  While on the jobsite, he was erecting steel. Collin was aiding in setting a new beam next to the one that he was sitting on and tied off to. As the new one was being set is shifted and broke off the bolts to the beam he was on and gave way falling nearly 40 feet to the ground. Once him and beam hit the ground, He then decribed being thrown back up 6-8 feet, and coming back down hitting the back of his hardhat on an anchor bolt in ground.  Collin was immediately rush to the hospital, and underwent a 4 hour surgery. He substained multiple spinal injuries, and broke both hips. He is in a stable condition, but as of now cannot feel anything below his chest.
