Collum House Fire
My niece and nephew, Sarah and Shaun Collum, lost their home to a house fire around 3:30 a.m. on December 21, 2016. Shaun was at work at the time. Unfortunately, the smoke detectors did not go off to alert Sarah of the fire. Luckily, Sarah woke up and was able to get her two children, Shaun, age 7, and Lillian, age 5, along with their dog, Dodger, out of the house safely. As of right now, they aren’t sure what state the inside of the house is in, but they do know that the kitchen, living room, and dining room were all destroyed. None of them have any clothes, as they were all damaged by smoke and soot. A fire is an awful thing to happen, and we’re so grateful they all made it out of the house. However, with Christmas just around the corner, this fire could not have happened at a worse time! Sarah, Shaun, and the kids are staying with family right now, and they hope to move forward with repairing their home soon. Any donations, i.e., clothes, furniture, bedding, monetary donations, etc., would greatly be appreciated in helping them to rebuild their lives. Thanks so much for your support!
