Colonial Parking Guys DC

UPDATE: We delivered the first $5000 from our fundraiser to the guys today. They were super grateful. The next installment will be delivered Friday. Thank you to everybody! See photos below, and read on for more about this effort. 



The men at Colonial Parking in the Blake Building are a part of many of our lives. We see them every day and they help to take care of us with kindness and courtesy. They have been laid off, furloughed or had hours cut due to the coronavirus and it would be nice to help them.

We will be raising money for: 

-Andy (Andargachew) Wondie
-Adam Samuel
-Kenneth Pitman
-Esayas Berhal
-Yemene Beyene

Any money that we raise will be handed directly to them in a meeting at the Colonial Parking garage at Blake Building, with Jon Hilsenrath at the WSJ and Andarg Wondie acting as organizers. We will be sure that each of them is alerted about this effort and gets a fair and equal share and that every penny raised goes only to them.  

Anything you can do will be appreciated and of great value to our community and a spirit of helping others in these difficult times. This effort is starting at The Wall Street Journal and we will be trying to spread it to other organizations in the Blake Building. 

Like many people, they have bills to pay. Our goal will be to move quickly, doing a first disbursement as soon as possible and then more later if needed and possible.
