           This horror short film will  surely gratify the thirst of the masses with a new taste of   horror genre in an era of"Walking Slashers."  Our imaginations will benefit from the satisfying psychological horror short film  "Claimed"  from new and upcoming independent film writer & producer, Elle M.  Mercurio.      

"Claimed" is about the  English colonization in America.  In a new world filled with unspeakable beauty and uncertainty ....they arrived.  Of course, they suffered a lack of supplies but no nightmare would have prepared the uninvited colonists for the horror awaiting them that came along with their hopes. Hasn't anyone told them it's a brave New World.
                       They came to claim a new world but it was them who were already claimed. 

 "This is a short horror film raising money and awareness because of the heroin epidemic here in St. Louis and surrounding communities, For women shelters and To Write Love On Her Arms.  I know how hard it is to walk away from personal experience. The destruction and hopelessness it leaves people and their families with. I will have 8 years in Feb '19 myself. It breaks my heart hearing the statistics of how many people died or will probably die this year."

"So this film is dedicated to them. Whose lives have been snuffed out early due to this epidemic and whose lives it will still claim? To the families whose homes have been shattered,  for the inconsolable mother whose worst fear came true when her  child when they overdosed and died, and to all the children who are left behind."

                 Elle seeks to  widen the horizons of the horror genre all while helping our  community but she needs your support

Funding raised for the making of this film will go directly toward hiring local sound and recording engineers,  photographers, make-up artists, special effects designers, and as well as helping to subsidize equipment costs.  We believe strongly in supporting our local community while aiming to achieve the highest quality delivery of the story. 

In addition, the film's producer is both personally invested, in recovery herself, as well as passionate about curtailing the opiate epidemic sweeping through our communities and supporting its's victims. To fulfill this mission, 85% of all proceeds from this film will be donated to "To Write Love on Her Arms"  (www.twloha.com), a non- profit movement.  Dedicated to presenting hope, and finding help for people struggling with depression and addiction.
