In June of 2019, Joey was unexpectedly diagnosed with Stage 3 Colon Cancer at the young age of 41. After enduring major surgery to remove the cancerous tumor, Joey endured almost 6 months of chemotherapy. The treatment forced Joey to take time away from his job that he loves so much. During this time, his Wife and sole caregiver, Jenn took him to every doctor's appointment, scan, procedure and chemotherapy. She did all of this while working her full-time job. You would never hear Jenn complaining, even on the hardest of days. Joey and Jenn have never asked for help during this difficult time and even recently, have opened their home to provide care for other family members that need it. Joey and Jenn have handled the cards that have been dealt to them with so much faith, grace and positivity.
After finishing chemotherapy in February of this year, they were well on their way to paving the way to their "new life" after cancer. Unfortunately, Joey's routine scans in July not only showed that the cancer had returned, but it has spread to other organs, including Joey's liver. Their lives have been turned upside down again. Joey has already started his new chemotherapy regimen which is far more aggressive than his previous treatment. Joey is back in the position of not being able to work and Jennifer is wearing the many hats of being a caregiver and full-time employee. With Joey not able to work, this puts an understandable financial strain on Jenn and their finances.
Joey and Jenn have always offered help to any and every one that they can. Now, it is their turn to receive the blessings that are so well deserved. Dealing with cancer is hard enough. With the added pressure of finances, it becomes even more difficult to handle and navigate. The funds that are donated will provide immediate financial relief so that Joey can focus on fighting cancer and Jenn can focus on caring for the love of her life.
Please continue to pray for Joey and Jenn as they fight this battle together.
