Tax deductible
The Colorado Springs Striders are a small nonprofit (501(c)3) youth track and field team out of Colorado Springs, Colorado, explicitly founded to assist young athletes in reaching their life and athletic goals. We have impacted many young athletes since 1996. Our club is sanctioned by USA Track and Field (USATF), the governing body of track and field in the United States. Our purpose is to promote sportsmanship, teamwork, pride and high moral standards in addition to promoting the USATF Olympic Developmental Program.
Our program’s primary objective is to develop and enhance the techniques and skills of track and field. The ultimate goal(s) of our program is/are the maximum development of fundamental skills and preparation for the State High School, USATF Colorado State, USATF Region X, USATF National Junior Olympic Championship, USATF Youth Championship and AAU Championship meet.
The Colorado Springs Striders has had a huge impact on many families within the community throughout the years. It has become a community that forms leadership, dedication, growth and achievement. The Striders have been successful as they have been partly because of generous supporters and families to support our mission.
With the rising cost of travel and lodging expenses for the team, we are currently seeking donations to help cover the costs of our travel and lodging for both the Regional and National Track meet expenses. Our Region X Junior Olympic Track and Field Championship will be held in Albuquerque, New Mexico July 6th to 9th, 2023 and the USATF National Junior Olympic Track and Field Championships will be held July 24th to 30th, 2023 at the University of Oregon in Eugene.
For expenses, we are seeking to collect a total of $10,000 to pay for travel, food, lodging, and entry fees for all our athletes that qualify. The Striders would be grateful for any and all donations. We would also be extremely appreciative if you can help us spread the word by sharing this campaign with others - especially our alum who have made the Colorado Springs Striders what they are today.
We have multiple local meets that we ask that you consider coming to watch our amazing athletes that will be competing. The link below is a list of all our track meets.
Please check out all the amazing accomplishments our athletes have achieved throughout the years as well as testimonials from previous athletes!
