Coloring Student's Worlds

Hello everyone.

Last year I donated pairs of Enchroma Colorblind glasses to six Rio Rancho Public School students and two colorblind test kits; one for the High Schools to share and one for the Middle Schools to share.

I cannot begin to explain how heart-warming it was watching these young adults see a wide array of colors they had never seen before. Their reactions were priceless, to say the least. If you watch the attached YouTube clip, the young lady pointing and laughing when she saw orange for the first time. And that was just a table cloth. The responses of the other five remaining students were very similar.

Since the response was so overwhelming last year, I decided to continue the donation this year, yet I am looking for financial donors to increase the number of RRPS students that can be helped to see color for the first time.

Since their support was unequaled last year, I will continue to work with Enchroma, who provided the glasses last year. I promise that 100 percent of your donation will be used to purchase Enchroma colorblind glasses for students within the Rio Rancho Public School District. If the response exceeds my dreams, I plan on extending the donations to another local school district so more students' lives can be enhanced if possible.
