Colton Hunt & Family

On January 7th, Colton was admitted into the hospital with what started as pneumonia and developed into much more. While there, the doctors found that Colton had a heart valve working at only 11% and a blood clot in his heart. They had him scheduled for a procedure to investigate these issues on Tuesday January 11th. Unfortunately, the evening before this procedure, Colton collapsed while in his hospital room. As nurses tried to revive him, there was an extended period of time that he went without oxygen before his heart was able to be restarted. He was then admitted immediately to the ICU and given a CT scan which found no swelling or bleeding of his brain. The medical staff kept Colton heavily sedated from that point forward. As the days passed, further complications arose such as heart, kidney and liver failure. There were a great deal of procedures, medications and other steps the medical staff used to sustain his necessary primary body functions. Although some progress seemed to be made, the doctors ultimately determined he was without brain activity. On Sunday, January 16th the family were able to say their final goodbyes.
As much of you know, Colton was loved by so many. He was the kind of person to do anything for anyone at anytime. The medical and other costs associated with this unfortunate situation will be substantial and burdensome on his family. Those of us who had the privilege of getting to know, love and befriend Colton understand how important his family was to him. It is the intention of this fundraising campaign to honor his memory by providing some form of relief to his family in these difficult times. Any amount would be greatly appreciated.
