Officer Colton Conley Fundraiser

After numerous doctor appointments, ultrasounds, lab tests, CT scans, and surgeries. On November 15th, 2022 - Officer Colton Conley (Sterling Heights Police Department) and his family received the news that he had been diagnosed with Stage 3 Testicular Cancer, just 3 short months after the birth of his first child. His specific cancer type - embryonal carcinoma non-seminoma, is considered the more "aggressive" form of testicular cancer and tends to spread more quickly. The CT scan showed that his cancer had spread into his retro-peritoneal cavity lymph nodes and spots within his lungs. The news came as a shock, being a 28-year-old overall healthy young father, this was the last thing he had expected to happen. He began treatment at the end of November. His specific treatment plan at this time consists of 3 cycles of chemotherapy. Each “cycle” is a 21-day long period, consisting of various chemotherapy infusions. The doctors are hopeful, but it’s going to be a long road of further infusions, scans, and surgeries ahead. Colton has been off work since early November due to his illness, only collecting a fraction of his pay while he is on short-term disability. He will continue to undergo treatment and work toward recovery. First and foremost, the family is asking for prayers as they continue on this difficult journey. The funds raised will be used to help cover current and future medical costs/expenses, and help make up for lost wages for Colton and his family.
The Sterling Heights Police Department is also putting on a fundraising event for the Conley family.
Battle of the Badges, the Sterling Heights PD vs. Clinton Township PD in a charity hockey game. The event is taking place on Sunday January 22nd @ 12:00PM at The Big Boy Arena (34400 Utica Road, Fraser, MI 48026). It will be a day of family fun, raffles, auctions, and hockey!
Thank you all, and may God bless.
