Coltons surgery, follow-up and extra medical care
My name is Renee, and I’m reaching out as a mother with a heart full of love and worry for my son, Colton. At just 4 months old, after endless uncertainty and painful misdiagnoses, we finally learned that Colton has a capillary deep hemangioma—a condition that is affecting his vision, balance, and overall well-being.
For over a year, we’ve fought this battle together, trying every treatment available. But now, doctors agree that surgery is the only way forward. It’s our last hope for giving Colton the chance at a normal, healthy childhood.
But now, at the most critical moment, our insurance company has turned its back on us, refusing to cover the surgery that could transform Colton's life. They’ve denied the surgery and even stopped covering our travel and lodging expenses, claiming Colton no longer qualifies for support because he's not considered premature anymore. Their decision has left us not only heartbroken but also financially devastated, unable to afford the care that could change Colton’s future.
On September 5th, Colton is scheduled for surgery at Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital in Memphis, but we simply cannot afford the mounting costs alone. We’re facing an impossible choice: give up, or ask for help.
That’s why I’m here, humbly asking for your support. Colton’s future depends on this surgery, and your donation—no matter how small—can bring us closer to giving him the life he deserves. Every single gift is a step towards hope, towards healing, and towards giving Colton the chance to live free from this condition.
As a mother, there’s no greater pain than watching your child suffer when there’s something that can be done. Please, help us give Colton the chance to grow up healthy and happy. Together, we can make this possible.
Thank you, from the bottom of our hearts, for your kindness, compassion, and generosity. You’re not just donating—you’re giving our family hope.
