Harvey says ….. Dogs are the best!
Run. Jump. Play. A Dog Park offers an opportunity for dogs to roam unleashed and have lots of fun with their humans. A Dog Park is an awesome addition to any community … a reason to enjoy more quality time outdoors for dogs and humans alike… the good benefits of outdoor exercising…. the heartwarming sight of dogs playing together …..and a common thread to bring people together to interact and socialize easily. And, yes, as we dog lovers know, our furry friends enjoy socializing with their canine playmates too!
The Restoration and Beautification Committee of Columbiana, Ohio, has undertaken a three-million-dollar plus capital project to refresh and update the city’s decades-old Firestone Park. Land and money for the park was given to the city in the mid-1930’s by its famous native son, tire magnate Harvey S. Firestone.
A popular feature of the restoration will be a dog park within this beautiful and historic outdoor recreational area. Harvey, the park’s official mascot, is hoping you will help us by giving what you can to help his dream of a Dog Park come true! No amount is too small and your donation will go directly to an account to make the Dog Park become a reality. Harvey thanks you in advance for your consideration and generosity. A happy dog is a good dog, whether in our community or yours. Share your passion for dogs and help spread the joy to our canine friends!
For over 12 years, the Restoration and Beautification Committee has spearheaded capital projects that improve Columbiana. The current project is the three-million-dollar-plus restoration of the historic Harvey S. Firestone Park in the city. Visit restorecolumbiana.com or Restore Columbiana on Facebook.
