Come As You Are - Short Film

Hi there,

We are the crew of Come As You Are, a short film that explores the relationships between sexual assault and substance abuse. Drawing out critical concepts of consent and key fact's about sexual assault, we aim to underline the important message about what consent really means and hopefully raise awareness of what women go through, emphasising that it's not their fault.

We plan to use the money we fundraise here to make our short film and spread the message about what consent is and what it looks like for a girl who has to face the daunting reality of what happened to them.

Synopsis

Come as You Are follows Charlie Bradstreet, a 21 year old drug addict, coming to terms with the harsh reality of her trauma.

Charlie recounts the night she OD'ed to her therapist, Diana, who tries to piece together what happened on that frightful night. During this interaction, Charlie is forced to look into her past to confront a truth that is hard to process - that she is a victim of sexual assault.
