https://youtu.be/ajjrP0ApQeA?si=ZS-YT3kyzYi78d-L Hi, my name is Dylan Hudson Salacia and I am a transgender survivor. I grew up in the Hudson Valley, New York State, and was isolated from other people due to being who I am. I grew up never listening to perspectives other than my own. However, since I was 17 & in the closet, I have been learning about and traveling the world without ever using my passport--by living in New York City. With the help of people like you, I've been able to heal and grow and I am overcoming the trauma of my upbringing to become the trans woman I am today. Friends with ancestors from nearly every continent, survivors of oppressive regimes and violence, humans with stories to share have saved my life. NYC saved my life, and I see the power of the greatest city in the world which sits in a multi-ethnic democratic republic on the precipice of a violent civil conflict. I humbly ask for your support to spread the healing across the country; I have set off to drive across the United States of America to speak with survivors of all kinds but especially those healing from domestic violence and sexual assualt just as I am. As I travel, I will be producing a documentary with the help of my dearest friends and supporters like you. I plan to continue my working class job at Amazon because that is where I’ve met some of my best friends. I am respected and loved in a dress for the first time in my life. However, my passion is the empowerment of survivors— through transparency, advocacy, and participation. Just like the mission of my student government campaign, Theta Apple Pie, at Baruch College, I hope to bring change to an imperfect community & world made up of people with ancestry from every single country known to humanity through this documentary. If you believe this country may be unsafe for a trans woman like me, please consider donating for my safety. If you are hopeful for a better future and revolutionary change, please follow my story and consider donating. Thank you for your support! Never forget that: ¡¡¡¡Black Trans Lives Matter!!! and YOUR life matters too, especially if you are black and trans and have survived long enough in this unsafe country to read this. I love you and am inspired by your resilience!
