COMING TOGETHER TO SUPPORT KARINA TOWNE

Hi, my name is Pilar and I wanted to reach out and let you know that I’m fundraising to help Karina. As some of you probably already know, Karina has had two sad losses within a year. Harris Towne, her husband passed away at the age of 43 last year. Unfortunately, her sister, Sue, suddenly passed away at the age of 44 just last week.

I don’t think I have ever come across someone so incredibly sweet and humble as Karina. Ever since I moved to Ridgefield almost 9 years ago, Karina has been that friend who you can trust and count on for whatever you need. To put it lightly, Karina is selfless, caring, compassionate, and unconditionally kind. Her two beautiful daughters Maddie and Emilia light up a room every single time they walk in.

Karina works nonstop. Nonstop. Once she is done working you will always find her running around to bring Maddie or Emilia either to volleyball, dance, or soccer. Every minute of her life is devoted to those girls. You usually hear her starting her Saturdays at 7am with one activity after the other through 6pm. By then, she is completely exhausted. Sundays run about the same. She honestly almost never has time to take a break.

We think Karina well deserves to take time off, find steady childcare and finally find a balance between work and life.

I am hopeful that the Ridgefield Community shows support and love for this amazing woman who we are honored to call our friend.
