Coming Together for Puerto Rico

Tax deductible

Hurricane Maria swept though the Carribean through the last week, and hit our home county of Puerto Rico with catastrophic results.  Today, virtually the entire island stands without power, an already weakend infrastructure has taken a massive hit.  The pictures tell it all.
Suffolk County, NY is home to over 100,000 citizens from Puerto Rico.  While our numbers are great, it is up to ALL of our citizens to come together to help our fellow neighbors.  This is a humanitarian crisis of epic proportions.

We at Teatro Experimental Yerbabruja are teaming up with all residents, and concerned community members throughout the Suffolk, and Nassau County regions to provide support where its needed the most - organizations on the ground that are helping residents now.  100% of your donation will be used to support the rescue and rebuilding efforts that are taking place right now.  Teatro Yerbabruja is a registered 501 c(3) organization recognized as a charity by New York State and the Federal Government

As the situation on the ground evolves we will have more information on the impact of your gift.  Our focus is to aid people during all phases of the recovery and rebuilding effort.  By reaching our $10,000 goal we can purchase the following:

Propane Generators
Flashlights
Radios
Emergency First Aid Kits
Water
Boots
Canned and other pre-packaged food
Building Supplies (wood, sheet metal etc.)

Any little bit helps.  We will be updating this page frequently with updates and additional support measures that we will be taking to help our fellow brothers and sisters!
