Commander Cody Live Action Film

Hello! Thank you for taking the time to read this. This fundraiser is intended as crowdfunding for a new live-action short film based on a character I created known as Commander Cody. He’s a famous multiverse mercenary who’s the founder of a mercenary team that travels throughout time, space and alternate dimensions to take on high-risk and high-paying mercenary contract operations for world governments, planetary leaders and various organizations. The film will be a mix of action and humor. Funding for this project will be used for all aspects of the production process from storyboards, filming, props, actors and CGI/3D animation. Those who help fund this film project will be eligible for an advanced screening. Those who donate $5.00 or more will be entered for drawings to include: posters, selected props and more. Currently the initial script is complete. I’m beginning work on storyboards and networking with those I’ve met through my streaming journey to find others interested in working on this project both in front of and behind the camera. The concept for this began back in 2016/2017. I was at a really low point in my life.  I had moved to a completely different part of the US, away from friends and family.  Things were not going well and it was an incredibly difficult time for my wife and I.  It was literally the most difficult period of my life. As a means to cope I began writing fun stories about the journey's of the Commander and squad. Eventually, the idea grew as I continued writing stories.  When I quit my career as software engineer, I came up with the idea to bring these stories to life through Twitch. It's been an amazing two years.  I've met so many incredible people who’ve believed in me and supported what I’ve been doing.  I could not have asked for better friends and supporters on this journey. In looking at the future of the brand I realized that relying solely on Twitch to make what I do sustainable for the foreseeable future may not be practical.  I was chasing the goal of Twitch partnership and possible sponsors over doing what really drives me forward and provides immense satisfaction: Really creative and innovative work, providing humor and making everyone's day a little better and brighter during our time in existence. Because of this I've spent the last few weeks evaluating where I am and what I really set out to do with the brand: Make a truly amazing and entertaining experience. Chasing Twitch Partnership hasn't provided me with satisfaction, fulfillment or a sense of purpose. The live action adventures of the Commander and squad is something that's been a dream of mine since before I began streaming and one I've set aside for too long. Part of the reason for this: The task daunting.  It's going to require a tremendous support, dedication and drive.  I know it's going to take a lot of work, but I'm genuinely so very excited!  I'm more excited right now, at this moment, than I was when I set out to begin my Twitch streaming adventure. I don't know for certain what the future will hold, but I feel with my entire being that this is a step in the right direction for the brand moving forward. What I do know is that I cannot wait to get started and turn this dream of the first live-action Commander Cody adventure into reality! After the first short film, my intention is to create an ongoing live-action web series. The first funding milestone is set to: $1000.00. This will prove the project has strong financial support and backing. The donation goal will then be raised as the intension is for this to be a very high quality production. I'm really excited about this new direction for the brand!
