Gwen loved to dance. She took dance cardio classes at Alvin Ailey almost daily for ten years, and she was radiant. She was so much fun. Gwen was the Mayor of Ailey, and anyone who has ever taken a class with her remembers her joy, good humor, and fabulous moves. In addition to being an enthusiastic dancer, Gwen was a wonderful friend and brought so many of us together. Gwen was my workout buddy and close friend, and I am heartbroken that she is gone.

 

Honoring Gwen at Ailey seems so fitting. Gwen's husband Geoff and I would be so appreciative if you could help us establish a dance scholarship in Gwen's name. We think Gwen would love knowing that she was helping to train young dancers.
