Commemorating Lenny's life
One of the saddest days we've experienced is when we had to say goodbye to Lenny on Thursday 9th March, 2023. He was a delightful saluki greyhound that we found via Good Life Dog Rescue, just before the COVID lockdown.
Vicky works tirelessly to run this wonderful dog rehoming charity, focussing on the traditionally hard-to-rehome hounds. It's a fabulous ethic. Vicky and Good Life Dog Rescue mean a lot to us and we want to help them. Good Life Dog Rescue is a small charity who are dedicated and passionate about the welfare of stray dogs in the UK. They help a huge volume of dogs that face an uncertain future and are left waiting at Yorkshire stray kennels. Their welfare is their priority. They help a huge volume of bull breeds and exists as a self-funded charity and with volunteers. Their compassion is their drive. They help over 300 stray dogs every year and support the dogs that have little hope in life. Support is crucial.
To celebrate Lenny's life, I'm planning to raise a solid donation by cycling from London to Birmingham on the Regent's and Grand Union canal towpaths. It should take me about four days, camping along the way. I'll be doing this in summer 2023 and updating Facebook along the way.
Please consider donating to this very worthy cause. Gofundme is a well known and trusted service, but they take a small cut from donations. If you prefer to send me the money directly (PayPal send money to a friend - illwind-at-gmx-dot-co-dot-uk) then the charity will get your full donation. Just remember to let me know who's sending it so I can thank you :-)
Thank you, in anticipation.
