Commissioned Music for Lance Meadows' Retirement

After 30+ years as a Band Director at Normal Community High School, Lance Meadows is retiring at the end of the 2020-2021 school year. Lance has positively influenced 1,000’s of students over his career through Concert Bands and Marching Band.
To celebrate his career, we would like to purchase a commissioned piece of music created in his honor. This piece is being written by Todd Stalter, one of Lance’s friends, Eureka High School Marching Band director, drill writer and music arranger. The piece will feature elements of Lance’s personality and his infamous career. Additional funds raised will be provided as a gift to Lance. Our goal is to reach at least $2,000 to cover the cost of the commissioned music.
Due to Covid-19 restrictions, we are unable to set a date/time as to when the performance of this new piece will be in 2021. We will update this page/communicate the information as soon as we know more details.
