Common Fire's Winter Supply Drive for our Unhoused Neighbors
Donation protected
We are Common Fire, a Portland-based mutual aid group that stemmed from friends that wanted to be of service to the unhoused community. We bring food and supplies every Monday morning to the Central Eastside of Portland to support people living on the streets. We get all of our supplies and food 100% donated or collected from around the community, from local mutual aid groups, or through incredible nonprofit partners.
As we head into winter, we are needing to find more sources for life-saving and life-affirming supplies, like tents, sleeping bags, tarps, blankets, hand warmers, socks, gloves, and medical supplies.
Therefore, we created this fundraiser to help fund buying the harder-to-come-by necessary supplies for people living on the streets. There are about 2,000 shelter beds in Portland and an estimated 10,000 unhoused Portlanders, so there is a great need for supporting our unsheltered neighbors.
Thank you for helping support our community care work and, in turn, Portland's unhoused community. Please follow along on our Instagram account: @commonfirepdx.

Every Monday, you can find us out in the community, serving food and bringing supplies to the People's Depot bottle return at the corner of SE MLK & SE Morrison. This bottle return spot is run by local nonprofit Ground Score Association. People who collect and return cans (canners) rarely are able to access services and get supplies from places around town because they are busy working to collect cans for their income, so we partner with Ground Score to bring the food and supplies to canners!
We collect and launder clothing to be given a second life and be diverted from the landfill.
Animal Supplies are donated by Portland nonprofit, Animal Aid, through their It Takes a Pack program! We love to be able to consistently provide pet supplies to people living on the streets to care for their beloved pets.
One of the best pups there is!
We received a Jeep-full of harm reduction supplies from the Multnomah County Harm Reduction Program!
We love this community!!
