Community Aid for Our School Cheer Team

This year, our school district has implemented a pay-to-play fee. We are a self-funded team and would love the help to reduce this additional payment that was just implemented. We started our season in May and we will fight till the finish in February, but only with help from the community to help us do our jobs! We support football and basketball games, as well as find time for ourselves for competitive high school cheerleading. This year we have 32 high school kids partaking in cheerleading. Many of our cheer kids will participate in one or more sports at CHS causing multiple pay to play fees. Our fear is that this extra money on top of ASB card fees will detour our kids from partake in sports that they love to do. If we can help offset this cost for pay to play for cheerleading, it would help take the burden off of parents for paying an additional $100 on top of everything else they have already paid for. This year the cost of cheerleading is anywhere between $70-$1000 depending on if they are a new or returning cheerleader and what will need to be replaced. Compared to all the other schools in our area, we are one of the lowest amount cost wise to participate in high school cheerleading.

We have Volunteered for the Caldwell 5K Turkey Trot in 2022, 2023, and plan on doing it again in October of 2024. We have been contacted about volunteering for other 3K and 5K as well this upcoming year.

2022 - First time cheer made it back to state since Covid.

2023- District 3 runner up champs, and placed in 3/4 categories at state level.

2024- District 3 Cheer Grand champions and 5th over all cheer team at state level.

We are currently the District 3 champions and would love the opportunity to retain our title. To cut down costs, our coaches buy poms, signs, flags, megaphones, bows, and even cheer mats for us to use, but with the new budget cuts, we are hoping the community will step up and help the team that supports and represents them. Any amount matters and we appreciate your help.
