Community Aid for WNC

Our beloved mountains have experienced record flooding, unfathomable devastation and desperately need our help. Western North Carolina is currently in an infant feeding & safe housing crisis.

We are local NC midwives, IBCLC’s and Birth Workers with lots of love & strong ties to the Western North Carolina mountains. We are in contact with WNC IBCLCs, midwives, birth workers, and others serving vulnerable populations by making house calls & deliveries of supplies to families across WNC.

We will be gathering specific supplies to serve the pregnant, birthing, and postpartum families directly impacted by Hurricane Helene. Funds collected by Haw River Midwifery will be used to buy supplies or be donated to various local organizations on the ground in WNC communities in need of immediate support.

Possible organizations will depend on supplies available/needed and may include: WNC Infant Feeding Emergencies, Birthstone Wellness & Birthstone Helpers, Branches Infant Feeding, Pansy

Collective, Beloved Asheville, Poder Emma, La Milpa, Homeward Bound, and other individuals on the ground providing direct care.
