Community defibrillator, Kirkgate, Sherburn
We’re fundraising £1,900 for an automated external defibrillator (AED) to be located at The Old Girls’ School Community Centre, Kirkgate, Sherburn in Elmet, giving 24/7 public access via the 999 emergency services.
The nearest AED is currently at Jacksons, Low Street. This new defibrillator will give quicker access for more people in the West of Sherburn in Elmet.
The fundraising goal covers the defibrillator, external cabinet, installation, and running costs for about 3years (electric for cabinet heater, new battery, replacement chest pads, protective equipment such as gloves).
More details including map of existing defibrillators are on our website.
We will investigate grants to apply for (eg Parish Council).
