Community Drive: Support Through Sound

Donation protected

The COVID-19 crisis has had a huge effect on the world, putting the livelihoods of many artists, independent venues, and members of our community at risk. To help support musicians and creative institutions facing difficulty at this time, Native Instruments have teamed up with 14 genre-defining artists to create a donation-based charity sound pack called COMMUNITY DRIVE

The pack is free to download now for a limited time via the Native Instruments site, but we're encouraging donations of all amounts here. All funds raised will be split between the following organizations supporting our community at this time: Grammy MusiCares Fund, Black Trans Femmes in the Arts, Musicians Without Borders, Keychange, Kimet-Kuumba in Motion Expressing, In Place Of War, and Heart 'n' Soul.  Native is donating €100,000 to kick things off, and we look forward to making an even greater impact with your help.

We give a very special thanks to all the artists who've contributed their time and sounds to this project: Sia, DJ Dahi, Peaches, Take a Daytrip’s No Idle crew, Just Blaze, Georgia Anne Muldrow, Junkie XL, Kimbra, BT, Miquela, Richard Devine,  Laurel Halo, Kaitlyn Aurelia Smith,  and Philomene Tsongui. The collective efforts of these artists have culminated in a robust sound pack, full of idiosyncratic vocals, synth presets, samples, and loops made to blend seamlessly into your own productions.

"We are delighted to be a selected charity in the Native Instruments campaign. We work with musicians in places of conflict, who are using music to bring hope and opportunity. These donations will help to change hundreds of people’s lives."
Ruth Daniel, CEO In Place of War

"People with learning disabilities are more vulnerable than others: they are highly excluded, often living in poverty, may have poor mental health, issues all worsened by Covid-19. Our usual programmes provide rich opportunities to gain skills, create art, and feel part of a vibrant community. These have been suspended, removing a vital creative and social lifeline. Donations raised through Community Drive: Support Through Sounds will enable us to continue working in this innovative way for as long as it's needed, we highly appreciate being part of this campaign."
Heart ‘n’ Soul

“We are extremely grateful to be one of the seven charities that will benefit from Native Instruments’ COMMUNITY DRIVE. All donations will help us to continue our work to empower talent, make change, and progress towards gender balance in the music industry. We know that if we work together we can build a sustainable and resilient industry, and this creative campaign is an encouraging statement of solidarity. Thank you to the generosity of both Native Instruments and the artists involved, including Peaches who is a valued Keychange advocate.”
Christina Schäfers, Project Lead Keychange, Reeperbahn Festival

"For more than 20 years, we have brought the power of music to people and places affected by war and armed conflict. A place of comfort and empathy, music connects beyond borders of ethnicity, religion, and history. We're thrilled to be part of the Native Instruments Community Drive. Your contribution supports fellow musicians in areas of current or past conflict, like the Balkans, Middle East, Central America, and Eastern Africa. With your help, we can quickly recover from this crisis and get back to what matters most: music."
Laura Hassler, Director of Musicians without Borders
