Community Food Aid Project supply food

Hi, My name is Irma.

I have lived in London for over 20 years, like many others for me the world stopped with the onset of the 2020 Pandemic. My work ended and my husband was furloughed which enabled me to make use of him as a driver to pick up unwanted food and re-distribute it to people of irregular status with no recourse to public funds.

Since then it has been my passion to facilitate the re-distribution of food to the most needy.

Unfortunately, my husband had to return to the world of work depriving me of my driver, I found a volunteer replacement, however, he had to withdraw due to ill health. I am now paying £70 week to hire a man with a van, this is funded by my husband but we can't really afford to continue this.

Hence the call for funding; £50,000 buys a vehicle with refrigerator capability for the transportation of food for our and partner Food Aid projects.

If we don't make the target all funds will be used to support these projects.

This project has been formalised by the creation of a Community Interest Company (CIC) - Community Food Aid Project CIC - registered at Companies House Registration No. 14511688.
