10k Fundraiser for Refugees and Asylum Seeker Football!

I will be running a 10k for an amazing cause this Sunday!

I have just started working at an amazing charity in Brighton called VYD (ValueYourDevelopment) Football. Part of our work is with Refugees and Asylum Seekers. Through football we make contact enabling them to increase their physical and mental health. We also educate on routes towards employment, navigating the hostile asylum system and language lessons.

I am raising money to increase the capacity of VYDs Refugee and Asylum Seekers program - AwayFromHome. We currently offer 5 hours of weekly coaching to around 50 participants but have lots more interested and on our waitlist!

To hire a pitch and coaches that allows for 22 displaced persons to experience the play football, make new friends and develop social skills in a safe environment bettering their transition to their new life costs £500! Each £500 enables us to continue and expand our provision for an 8-week period.
