Community Help for Activist's Injured Cat

My beloved cat, and companion of 11 years was injured last week. I cleaned and bandaged his wounds for several days and tried to get by best I could with first aid knowledge and little to no resources, but he managed to get off the bandages and worsen the wound while I was out for a community organizing meeting. Despite my best efforts infection was setting in and I had to take him to the ER for emergency treatment Friday evening. He was cleaned up, bandaged, and given medication to help with his pain and the stave off infection. I’m so greatful that he is okay, but the vet bill is more than I can manage.

I am a full time activist as well as an artist and a small business owner. I put most of my time and energy into struggle for community and liberation because I believe with my whole heart that it is all we have and all the matters. But this is all unpaid work and I have very little resources to thrive in the economic system we are currently subject to.

So I am calling on my community to help me through this precarious time as I save my feline son❤️
