Community Infrastructure for people at IPO
Donation protected
We are a group of organisers involved in work around the IPO and other projects. We are trying to collectively raise money to help provide community infrastructure for asylum seekers living in the camp at the IPO.
The situation on the ground is really bad, and a lot of different groups have pulled together to provide resources and direct support. This work is absolutely essential, but its difficult for people living in the camp, who don't have access to their own cooking facilities or spaces, and have to rely on this support to meet their basic needs.
We are working with a social centre in the Liberties, and will use some of the money raised to help fit out a community kitchen in the space, which can be used by groups cooking and providing food for people at the camp directly, but also more importantly by the people themselves to prepare their own meals.
Go raibh maith agaibh.
