Community Management Funds for FORRT
Donation protected
Hi there
FORRT is a volunteer community in open science, and we need your help to fire us up! If you've ever benefited from something we did, please consider donating, even a small amount.
All funds will go to fund community management and accelerate our impact. The more we raise, the more we can sustainably run our community. We'll be real: These funds will also help prevent volunteer burnout.
Organizations donating to us are appreciated as well - if you cannot donate here directly, let us know at funding [at] forrt [dot] org (amount + requirements).
Who are we?
The Framework for Open and Reproducible Research Training (https://forrt.org) is an interdisciplinary and international community of almost 700 early career scholars aiming to integrate open science principles into higher education and advance research transparency, reproducibility, rigor, and ethics through pedagogical reform allied to justice, equity, diversity, inclusion, and accessibility principles.
➡️ Check out all our open scholarship educational initiatives in our Educational Nexus:
- We provide a glossary of open science terms, a collection of over 400 replications & reversals across social sciences, a collection of tested-and-tried lesson plans, over 200 summaries of open and reproducible science literature, a dynamic and consensus-based framework to understand and engage with open science, a systematic review on the impact of open & reproducible scholarship on students, a community-built syllabus on how to teach open science plus a collection of over 100 other syllabi and teaching materials, over 700 curated resources list, several internal initiatives towards social justice in academia, organizing a series of events towards equity in open scholarship, and an entire team dedicated to advocating for the integration of neurodiversity and the open scholarship movements.
Why fund a community manager for FORRT?
We have achieved so much on a 100% volunteer basis; imagine the good we can do with paid community management. This will also help prevent volunteer burnout.
How will the funds be used?
The funds will be awarded to a community manager to help us streamline and level up our educational projects for the next 6-12 months.
They will also help apply for future funds so that we become fully sustainable moving forward. The more you donate, the more time they'll get to spend on managing the community.
