Community Park Elementary School Mural Project!
Donation protected
Hi! We are 5th graders from Community Park Elementary School and we are fundraising for a school-wide library mural project with our school librarian Mrs. Jones! Former student, local muralist, and friend, Marlon Davila, will be leading this project with us! Not only will our mural make our school a more beautiful place, but bring our community together, celebrate our diverse school population, promote creativity, and teamwork! We hope our mural will send a message of joy, togetherness, kindness, and celebrate all people and their differences. Our mural project has already taught us a lot about how public art can transform neighborhoods and bring everyone together. However, we need help to make our dream happen! We need at least $6,000 to pay for this mural! The money includes artist visits by Marlon, Marlon's time, and materials, like paint, brushes, scaffolding, ladders, chalk, paint sticks, rollers, buckets, a power washer, and a weather-resistant coating to keep our mural safe! We have already raised approximately $3,500 through teacher fundraisers. If you are interested in helping us raise the rest, please donate! Thank you so very much for supporting our school, public art, and our community!
