Community Seeks Help for Victims of Tragic Fire!

My name is Jeanee, and I am posting this on behalf of the Board of Directors at ARNL - a resident-owned community in North Lamar- Austin, Texas

We are Cooperative owners of the Asociacion de Residentes North Lamar (ARNL), seeking to raise funds to support two families in our community who suffered significant losses in a devastating fire on May 17, 2022, at 11:45 pm.

One home is a total loss, and multiple family members are hospitalized with injuries. Our goal is to raise money and use it to help these homeowners recover and restore their losses. Our goal is to provide 75% of the funds raised to the homeowners whose home is a total loss and 25% to the family whose home sustained much damage.

We, the residents of our cooperative-owned community, own our own homes and collectively own and operate the land and business. We are a low-income family community trying to get by and support our households. This loss is devastating to all of us, and we ask for support and prayers as well.
