Community Shed Fire

On 21 November our community-based Woodshed in Strathalbyn suffered significant damage from a fire. This fire has closed the Shed and will seriously disrupt our operations over the coming months. We are now seeking donations to help us through this difficult time.
Money raised will be used to establish a temporary work area while significant structural repairs are being undertaken, to meet ongoing overheads during a time of nil income and to cover any costs not covered by insurance. To achieve this we are looking to raise $15,000.
The Woodshed is open to all members of our Community. Woodworking activities bring people together so they can work independently or with others on projects. Attendance normally exceeds 60 in any given week. The Shed fulfills a very important role in connecting people with community. For some members who may be lonely or vulnerable the Woodshed is their main social contact. Given the potential negative long-term impact of being disconnected from the community, it is critical that a temporary shed work area be established as soon as possible and the Shed is up and running again.
We are seeking donations to help us quickly re-establish our services and provide much-needed support to people in our community. Do you want to join me in making a difference? Donations do not need to be large , and any monies provided will be gratefully received. Thank you in advance for your contribution to this cause.
