Community Support for Djembe Jen after Tragedy

Dear Community of Djembe Jen (Horton),

This is a call for much needed financial support!

This past weekend Jen attended WisconSing!, a 4-day singing gathering, holding the rhythms with her drum. Her friends, elders, and mentors were there and it was a special, joyful time.

She returned home, excited to tell stories of the weekend to her father. But that could not happen because, while she was away, Jen's father took his own life.

Jen's father, Bob, was a very important support in many ways - deep and practical. Because it was a suicide the insurance will not come through. Jen's Dad owned nothing, not even his home. Jen is facing health issues herself, and already stretched financially. She is very close to finishing a Massage Therapy certification. Financial support right now is crucial as Jen takes care of her father's matters, completes her Massage Therapy program, and builds what is next.

Jen's fellow WisconSingers, friends new and old, are asking us to come together to support Jen through this difficult time. Any amount you can offer will be very much appreciated!
