Community Support for Our Cafe

On December 26th (the morning after Christmas Day) at approximately 2:30am, our small cafe on 46th and Minnehaha Ave was broken into. Thankfully, no one was hurt and nothing major was taken. But now we are stuck in a situation where we must pay out of pocket to replace our beautiful glass door, as I overlooked our insurance policy and this type of incident is not covered by our current policy. We have since made those corrections.

We unfortunately are facing a pretty big setback as Asian Duck Cafe is our main source of income for our family and no money was ever set aside for an incident like this because it never crossed our minds that this would ever happen to us. We are so grateful for the amazing support of our community and will forever be indebted to South Minneapolis, for this is a minor setback for a stronger comeback!
