Community Support for Stephanie's Family

On July 5th, just before midnight, the lives of two young children, their grandparents, and an entire community were tragically changed forever. The children’s mother, Stephanie Francis, was murdered by her estranged husband, who subsequently took his own life. The children (14 & 10) now find their lives uprooted and parentless. It will take their family and the community to support them in whatever way is needed to help them heal and move forward but to also never forget.

This awful, heart-wrenching and merciless tragedy has rocked the lives of Stephanie's family, friends, co-workers, neighbors, and the Chariho community as a whole. It's those same friends, neighbors, co-workers, and community that need to support Stephanie's family as they take on the monumental task of raising, supporting and being there for Stephanie's two children. We as a community owe it to Stephanie to help them get past this tragic event but at the same time, never forget! Thank you for your support.

In addition to the GoFundMe page, The Friends of Stephanie Francis are in the process of organizing a Remembrance Day and Vigil for Stephanie and her family. More details will be coming about this event but we are aiming at the end of September or Early October. All monies raised, from this GoFundMe and the event, will be to benefit the two children.
