Community Support for the Heinrichs Family
Donation protected
Kris Heinrichs tragically passed away on April 19th, 2024. Leaving behind his wife Candace and their two young children, Hons (14) and Aza (9). This family needs their community to rally behind them as Candace takes on the difficult and overwhelming role of solo parenting. Unfortunately, they do not have family in Alberta.
Kris was an active member of the Cougar Ridge and West Springs communities. He enjoyed spending time with his kids, spectating, and volunteering at their respective sports. His daughter, Aza, plays forward in the Girls' Hockey Association and his son, Hons, is a tenacious forward with the Springbank Rockies. Most recently, Hons worked hard throughout the winter to earn a spot on the District 8 Junior Performance Baseball Team and is looking forward to a busy travel schedule.
As the energetic sole proprietor of Daddy’s Before and After School, Kris offered unique child care dedicated to active living and sports for young families in our community. On P.D. days, Kris was often seen loading up his Daddy Day Care bus and hitting the Winsport ski slope, organizing a game of shinny, biking around, or hiking in the foothills.
During this difficult time, we hope our community will rally to support this young family in their time of need. This dual-income family has lost a substantial income stream. The Heinrichs need support to help pay monthly bills, cover funeral expenses, and help with sports-related costs, including registration fees. Unfortunately, they also need a reliable car, as Kris was recently in an accident with his van.
Please help show this family some love and support as they struggle with the overwhelming loss of their father and husband. All donations will transfer directly from GoFundMe to Candace Nguyen-Heinrichs.
