Community Support for the Lund Family after Fire Loss
Donation protected
Our dear friends and community members, the Lund family, have lost their home in Altadena due to the devastating Eaton Fire... your children may know Freyja and Llewellyn from classes and adventures with us. This incredible family has always been the first to step up when others needed help, and now it’s our turn to support them in their time of need.
Freyja and Llewellyn, their two wonderful children, are grappling with the loss of their home, their belongings, and the sense of security they’ve always known. As parents, the Lund family is facing a terrifying challenge, but with our help, they don’t have to face it alone.
Robert, a talented builder who has been constructing homes in Altadena for over 15 years, lost not only their family home but also his truck and all his work tools. The immediate future of his livelihood is uncertain, and rebuilding their lives will be an uphill battle.
While fully rebuilding will cost far more than we can hope to raise, our goal is to help ease their financial stress for the necessities so they can focus on finding a way forward. Every contribution, no matter the amount, can help them navigate these next few months as they rebuild their lives.
If your children know Freyja and Llewellyn and would like to send letters, drawings, or messages of encouragement, please reach out to me.
The Lund family has been an integral part of our community from the very beginning and friends to everyone they meet. As the director of our educational nonprofit, Healthy Footprints Adventure Community, in Azusa, I am bringing together the community we’ve built through our shared love of nature and adventure to support these dear friends of ours.
As an adventure community, we understand that life’s toughest moments can feel like scaling a towering mountain. The Lund family is facing one of their steepest climbs yet, but together, we can help carry the weight and support them as they take their next steps forward.
Let’s show the Lund family the same love and support they’ve always shown our community. Thank you for your kindness, generosity, and solidarity.

A note from the Lund Family
"Thank you to each of you. I don’t have the words to express our gratitude. Robert and I are grateful that our family is alive and together. We are grateful that we have a place to stay with family. But we are devastated and heartbroken. With every neighbor and friend I talk to from our community, my heart breaks again at the loss. It’s daunting, unprecedented, and simply unreal. It’s staggering to think of the loss. It was our home since 2011. It was filled with love, our childhood memorabilia, mementos and relics from generations of our families, and the memories of our children’s lives. But then we feel your kindness and generosity and we are uplifted. We feel that we can heal, recover, and rebuild. It leaves me speechless to feel so much caring. I sincerely don’t have the words to say thank you. Please know that you have helped our family in a way that is invaluable. I want to reach out to each of you and in time I will. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!"
