A fund raiser has been started by Comodo employees to help a longtime colleague - Len Lacina. Len has worked for us for many years. He also served in the US army.
A few months ago, we all had the privilege of coming into the office and seeing Len stand up using “braces” and walk on his own for the first time in years and since we had known him. It was emotional for a lot of people and it was certainly life changing for Len.
The “braces” Len uses are very basic. Unfortunately they are only the standard type that the health insurance companies will pay for. Whilst they are a start there are many better ones on the market that would help Len in so many ways.
The crunch is we need to raise $20,000 for a new set of braces. Comodo will put in $10,000 to start then it is down to us all. There are over 120 in this office and many more worldwide, so we would like to think we can do it (less than $80 each).
Whether to contribute and the amount is entirely up to you. Contributions are voluntary, the amount if any and whether a person contributes or not will be kept private. Envelopes for cash/checks (payable to “Comodo Group Inc.”) are available on the front desk which can be deposited in a marked box at the front desk. Comodo employees have also set up an online fundraising account for contributions by credit card/debit card.
All the money collected will go directly towards paying for the new braces.
The below are links showing what we will be helping to buy.
