On Behalf of the Nita's family, thank you all for your generous contributions. Nita and LeeRay were laid to rest together on July 27th in the morning and we had a great Celebration of Life in the evening. Thank you to Los Jardines Institute for hosting the event.

It is with great sorrow to let friends and family know that our dear friend, sister, Compañera Nita Luna Davis passed this evening.
A lifelong Chicana activist, Nita dedicated her life to the struggle for economic, political and social justice in our communities. Nita gave so much to our communities throughout her life and we will always remember her love for teatro, music, art, organizing, and creating community.
She inspired us all through the years with her great wit, her unyielding passion for life and her uncompromising love for all of us, friends and families. We will miss her smile, abrazos, caring, and tenacity.
All proceeds will help Nita and her family with funeral expenses.
Please keep Her daughter Leila, son Joaquin and grandchildren in your thoughts and prayers.
