Compassion for refugees this Christmas

From Now untill Christmas , we will be fundraising and also collecting much needed clothes , tents , sleeping bags , medicine , phones and power banks to take to one of the refugee centres In France , if and when the pandemic allows. 

we hope to hire a large van to take all the donations to France .
our plan is to include the hiring of some accommodation for the two weeks,  we will be working in a refugee centre and offer respite to vulnerable refugees or unaccompanied minors over the Christmas period Should there be a need. 

Unfortunately the world is turning it’s back

on refugees and they face death or brutality in their own country or vitriol and a hard life in Europe , with many not achieving their hopes of a settled safe life. 

This will be just a drop in a cold ocean but perhaps it can offer some respite and hope for a few and perhaps give them a safe warm Christmas , while taking much needed supply’s to help the wider refugee community , we will be working there over the Christmas period a a time where there are less volunteers. I am broken by the lack of compassion  in our country towards the millions fleeing war and violence , and I hope I can find enough people to reach our target .
