Compassion for the Weidner Family's Loss

My name is Bridgett Hagen. My mom is Elida Weidner and my dad is Bill Weidner. Within the past month or so, my dad had 5 strokes in one week which has left him with no real short-term memory, can’t swallow, has a feeding tube, most of the time not coherent and bedridden. As of this morning, the Dr. informed us that my dad is dying. We were and are not prepared for all of this, especially this new news. His kidneys are shutting down, he’s septic, hasn’t been making white blood cells, has pneumonia and there is no way of saving him. They have started administering morphine, have taken out his feeding tube and now we just wait for him to pass. Any help would be appreciated or even your prayers.

My daddy was an amazing man, a loving husband, father, brother, and friend. Had an amazing smile and sense of humor. He never knew a stranger and if he did, he’d make sure to introduce himself and be the life of the conversation. He had the most amazing stories and if you were lucky enough, you got to hear them a hundred times like me or my mom did!

If you knew my dad, you were blessed, we all were to have known him and have him in our lives.

This money will go towards my dad’s expenses of cremation and service and towards my mother for bills until she can get back on her feet and eventually back to work.
